... to the DAI’s International Kindergarten. Located in the old town of Heidelberg near the famous castle (Schlossberg 2) and in Heidelberg-Neuenheim (Kuno-Fischer-Straße 2), we offer care for a total of 100 children between the age of 3 and 6. The main language spoken in the kindergarten is English, but we also offer German programs regularly. Additionally English-speaking children have the opportunity to take German lessons.

Children of different nationalities get to meet each other at the DAI’s kindergarten between 07:30 am and 04:30 pm and enjoy a program composed of diverse curricular activities and free time.

!!! We are looking for day care teachers starting in September 2010 !!!

The new day care teachers should be English native speakers or should have comparable skills.

The ability to speak German is not a prerequisite, but of advantage. Candidates need to be officially recognized "Erzieher" or have a comparable degree. Day care teachers are responsible for the children’s well-being and for their healthy development. Patience while being with children is therefore a basic requirement.

Besides regular tasks arising in a kindergarten, candidates should be prepared to teach units. Therefore experiences in teaching preschool lessons are of advantage. We value good teamwork.
