The Project HD Ink offers children an alternative to a world increasingly determined by the media.
The target is to promote speech and expression abilities as well as creative language use.
The target group are children with migration backgrounds and children with cultural disadvantages from 6 to 12 years of age.
Voluntary tutors support children during their activities with written texts (newspapers, books, word and speech games) and encourage them to write their own texts. Primary school children are given support with their homework.
Texts which are written for the project will be printed and published by the German-American Institute Heidelberg.
If you are interested in volunteering to help the project, and therefore the children, please call 06221 607315 or write to project manager, Suzane Sabani, at hd.ink@dai-heidelberg.de.
