The DAI International Women's Club is designed to bring together women of all nationalities in the Heidelberg-Mannheim area who are interested in speaking English. Social outings will be the primary function of the club, with activities such as English movies, theater, operas, dinners, and more. Our hope is that this group will not only help women to meet each other, but will also facilitate friendships and other social contacts.
The International Women’s Club is a group of about 60 active members. Many of them are Germans who have lived abroad, but there are also women from Russia, England, USA, Canada, Africa and Asia, just to name a few. It is a good mixture of many different nationalities.
The women like to meet people from all over the world, practice their English and share their experiences in different cultures. Of course they also enjoy sharing their favourite foods and other interesting things from their home countries with each other.
Our regular activities are:
- Dinner once a month in different Heidelberg restaurants (trying international cuisine)
- Pot-luck dinner (everybody brings something to eat or drink)
- Picnic on the Neckarwiese or Schlossgarten (only in summer)
- English-language films at different cinemas in Heidelberg
- English-language plays at the army theater in Heidelberg
- Cooking or making crafts

*Wednesday, July 21 at 7 PM, potlack at DAI*
All other activities are planned spontaneously by request.
